SWIMMING POOL
There is a large 12m x 5m heated swimming pool newly installed in 2016, with space for sunbathing and relaxing. The pool has a statutory alarm.
BAR
A dedicated bar area, equipped with dartboard, karaoke machine, board games and DVDs. The bar overlooks the gardens..
GARDENS
PETANQUE
The farmhouse and cottages are set in 3 acres of gardens, with planted beds, fruit trees and vegetable patch. Each cottage has its own secure garden with barbecue and clothes drying area.
A children’s play area with swings and slide adjoins the pool. We also have table tennis and other outdoor games available.
WALKS FROM LEMONIE
We have a full-size court to let you try your hand at this traditional sport of French ‘boules’.
CYCLING
There are several circular woodland and riverside walks from Lemonie. A 10 minute walk down a country lane takes you to the slow-flowing river Dronne where fishing is permitted. A walk along the river takes you past a picturesque chateau and weir, where there is a picnic area and you can even swim in the river.
The village of Les Essards is a 25 minute walk away.
We are on one of the many cycling routes that criss-cross this region. A 10-minute ride takes you to the nearby small towns of St Aulaye or Bonnes. There are bicycles for hire locally.
FOOD
The cottages are self-catering, but we are also happy to offer a menu of fresh home-cooked family meals should your arrival time be late or when the supermarkets are closed. We offer a home-made pizza night, using the bread oven which is very popular.
